BOE's Turn

The Fed moved, the Dutch didn't! At least so goes the spin in False News Media. Today it's the turn of the Old Lady of Threadneedle Street, the Bank of Merrie Olde England, to raise its key interest rate, but there's only a 50:50 chance that they will.

In multi-party, convoluted Holland, it usually takes days or weeks to form a new coalition government, but the Dutch are Greased Lightning compared to next door Belgium. And so with the Dutch sorted, kind of, in theRump-EU political process the next high stake country up is France, where the establishment is going all out to rig the result for a statist.

I've taken the opportunity to do a massive system upgrade, which has taken far longer than I expected to load. Thanks to the experts at Microsoft, everything is now operating efficiently, if not super efficiently, and I hope to be back to approaching normal service tomorrow.  Thankfully its a free weblog, so I'm not about to hit the headlines as the next London Whale.

One upside, yesterday on the first real day of spring, sunny blue skies, a warm gentle breeze, the temperature a balmy 60 degrees, my border collie and I got to enjoy much of the day outside.

Brexit Freedom Nears.
